My Malaga cup
What could be simpler than a cup to start this little series dedicated to the presentation of one of my products. Yes, but this cup is not just any cup since it is one of my first creations. It therefore represents a lot and I can't wait to introduce it to you through 5 key words.
1_ Voluptuous – I don’t know about you but me, when I look at this cup, I see the body of a woman. Voluptuous, rounded, with cute curves and some arch. It reminds me of Nanas by Niky de Saint Phalle or, in another style, the Aleks candle by @Fluid_Candles . As a woman, creating pottery that reflects all of us was important. I wanted to dedicate this little object to all those who struggle on a daily basis as if to bring a little sweetness into their everyday lives.
2_ Coffee – Are you from the “morning coffee” team?... Me, clearly... Yes! Starting my day without it is, how can I put it... complicated! My little Malaga cup is ideal for enjoying it. Appropriately sized, it accommodates and perfects a small espresso or a long one, depending on everyone's tastes. I'm more of a strong coffee drinker and prepared with my favorite brands of coffee like La Brûlerie de Belleville or Terres de Café
And then if you prefer tea (or something else) when you wake up, don't hesitate to think of those who prefer a little "kawa" in the morning by offering them the Malaga cup!
3_ White – So is white a color or not? I am not here to rekindle the debate. This white is mine, left, raw, in my own way from my little ball of sandstone that I slipped between my fingers. I love this work with the earth which reveals it in all its authenticity, a bit as if it were “putting itself out into the open”. You will not fail to notice its "bi-material" side, which I have a little secret about and which is found in several of my creations.
4_ Detail – Attention to detail is a principle to which I am very attached and which goes hand in hand with my little perfectionist side. On this small cup it fits in the two small balls placed at its ends. Some will see it as a little decoration when others will press their fingers on it to drink their coffee. Everyone has their own definition or use. Just like the unique side of my creations, I want my buyers to make this little cup their own, down to the smallest detail!
5_ Malaga – My last words will be devoted to the name of this cup, a little nod to my origins. If you don't know it yet, it's because you missed my article on "My little secret" which I invite you to quickly discover by clicking here
