“I won't make 'stock'” It was in these terms that one day, during a lunch, I described my first intentions as a ceramist. In my mind, it was quite clear: I will make, over the days, pieces that I will put on my e-shop and that buyers will be able to select as they become available. My desire was obvious: that each piece be unique. Far from me today is the idea of moving away from this ambition. And yet, as the other says, "there are only the..... (bad word) that I replace with small *** - which does not change my mind". From stock, finally, I create some, better… I take pleasure in creating some. The objective through this new state of mind is simple, to address a target that I had not even imagined reaching at the beginning: the professional public. And yes, I, Laëtitia, a budding ceramist, simply wasn't thinking about all that yet.
But since then things have accelerated a little. From a simple “like” on social networks, I moved on to more concrete conversations and valuable meetings which generated great opportunities. So I started producing larger quantities to respond to one, then two, then three requests... Starting with my favorite florist, Virginie , for whom I designed vases that you will soon be able to shop! What followed was a collection of round spoons for the magnificent enchanted account of Ludivine .
Other collaborations are being considered, but I'm keeping them secret. All I can tell you is that they cater to various sectors such as catering or wedding planners – events, decorators, etc. But shush, I’ll stop there. A little suspense never hurts.
These new challenges were an opportunity for me to develop pieces that I wouldn't necessarily have thought of. Responding to a request with precise expectations was, with each order, very enriching, even leading to other creative ideas. For example, (Creative idea for a professional and available individually on the eshop). Always faithful to the idea that each of my pieces be personalized and customizable, I have taken a liking to creating from specifications emanating from this professional world with its own codes. Of course, I often have to try and try again before arriving at the “perfect” piece - see article. But that's what I also love about craftsmanship and this desire to create unique, sometimes even innovative, pieces by myself. My little tool kit, my little hands and my beloved oven, which you can see opening regularly, so let's continue to reserve nice surprises. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any particular wishes!
